Update

So . . . after commencement and the end of the academic year hoopla, we finally got a chance to catch our collective breath. We had a little birthday party for Evelyn on Sunday, May 8th. By the time we got to have our party, my sense is that Ev was pretty partied out. Check out the excitement with which she considering opening (sigh!), yet another gift.

Of course, once she got her hands on the contents of the box, she was quite excited. Bubby bought leotards for all of the grandgirls who are taking dancing lessons, matching leotards. That is Drewfy doing his own ballet in the background.

No more concerns about opening presents, just pure-D joy in the gift itself.

Just a little quality time with these two.

We slipped away to St. George for what was supposed to be a week away (it actually turned out to be three days. We were planning to fish, and fish, and fish, but the weather gave us trouble. The day I caught this fish (actually a pretty nice 2.5 pounder) we got literally blown off of the lake. We spent an hour holding the boat off the shore while the wind died down so we could make a run back to the dock.

We had a great getaway, even if it was shortened by meetings and work commitments.
